Friday July 25th 2025 a fire spread from a field behind the Willowglen apartments and spread rapidly to buildings 4868 & 4878. This fire destroyed 24 homes, and two cars in the carport. Several pets are missing, but all the humans who were home were able to escape the fire with the help of the Fire department, local police, and brave neighbors who knocked on doors.

79 people were affected, many of which have been displaced, and do not have family or friends nearby to reside with.

The community has pooled together to donate clothes, supplies, and funds to support our neighbors. And we have been overcome by the generosity and love.
